THE G.R.E.A.T PLAYER

DEVELOPMENT SYSTEM

Wake County’s Complete Basketball Pathway (Grades 4–10)

We built this program for families in Wake County who want more than random workouts, overcrowded gyms, and meaningless games. The G.R.E.A.T.™

Training System is a year-round, all-in-one development system designed to help young athletes grow skill, confidence, discipline, and basketball IQ—the right way, at the right pace.

This is how we develop players locally… and prepare them for long-term success.

WHAT G.R.E.A.T. STANDS FOR

G - Growth-Based Training

Structured, in-person training that builds real skills by position: shooting, footwork, ball-handling, defense, and game application.

R - Resilience & Mental Performance

Confidence, focus, emotional control, and discipline. We train athletes to respond to pressure, coaching, and competition the right way.

E - Education & Exposure Strategy

We educate families early—so exposure happens after preparation, not before. No guessing. No wasted opportunities.

A - Accountability & Coaching

Clear standards, honest feedback, and consistent coaching. Athletes are taught how to listen, respond, and lead.

T - Tactical Gameplay & IQ

Decision-making, spacing, timing, and understanding how to impact winning—not just score.

OUR SYSTEM

(ALL-IN-ONE DEVELOPMENT)

How the G.R.E.A.T.™ Player Program Works

  • Year-Round Training Schedule

Multiple sessions per week to maximize development without burnout.

  • Flexible Attendance, Consistent Progress

Families choose the days that work best while athletes stay consistent around school and other sports.

  • Long-Term Development Focus

This is a 12-month program, not a camp. We build habits, confidence, and skills that last.

  • Character-Driven Environment

Effort, attitude, listening, and respect matter more than talent. Athletes train alongside high-character peers who push each other the right way

  • A System Designed for Real Growth

No big lines. No chaos. No wasted reps.

Everything is structured, intentional, and built for steady progress

  • Strategic Gameplay & Competition

Games are selected to build confidence and reinforce training—no meaningless tournaments or overplaying.

TESTIMONIES

SUCCESSFUL STORIES

I wanted my son to get the edge he needed to become a college basketball player. Coach Myson helped [David] by not only training him on the skill he needed to secure a scholarship, but he went as far as playing against him to make sure he was ready to perform in front of college coaches. I would recommend Hoops Univeristy to anyone who wants their son or daughter to develop or sharpen their skills.

We are so appreciative of you and all your hard work and positive energy. You are helping Nick transition to a guard and playmaker! We are looking forward to continued elevation of his game to make it to the next level. Nick is starting as a 7th grader on his middle school team. That would not have happened without your guidance and Nick's hardworking attitutde!!
